Machine details
The VMC855 carries a 1000 x 550 mm worktable rated to 600 kg. That covers molds, fixtures and mid-size housings without stepping up to a larger frame.
X and Y rapid at 32 m/min and Z at 24 m/min across 800 / 550 / 550 mm of travel. Fast rapids shorten the non-cutting time that dominates small-part production.
A belt-driven BT40-150 spindle running to 8,000 rpm handles aluminium, steel and cast iron with a 24-station disc tool changer on a 2.5 second tool change.
At roughly 5,300 kg the machine has enough mass to damp vibration during roughing, which shows up in tool life and in the surface left by finishing passes.
