A 1000 x 400 mm table rated to 400 kg gives the VMC650 useful capacity for its size. The machine occupies roughly 2400 x 2100 x 2300 mm, so it fits a crowded floor.
X and Y rapid at 32 m/min and Z at 24 m/min across 650 / 400 / 550 mm of travel. Fast positioning is what makes small-part batches economical.
A belt-driven BT40 spindle with a Φ120 nose runs to 8,000 rpm, with a 16-station disc tool changer on a 2.5 second tool change.
The 3,800 kg casting is heavy for a machine this size, which is what gives it the stability to finish parts that need a clean surface.
