VMC1370 · Heavy-duty VMC
Discuss mold and plate machining.

Machine details
The VMC1370 uses a ribbed bed and column with box ways rather than linear guides, which resists deflection when you take deep passes in mold plate or steel. That rigidity is what keeps a 9000 kg machine stable rather than lively.
A 1400 x 700 mm table with a 800 kg load rating carries mold bases, die plates and multi-feature housings that overflow a smaller VMC. Five 18 mm T-slots at 130 mm centres give flexible clamping.
A BT40-150 spindle running to 8,000 rpm with rigid tapping covers both roughing and finishing. The larger taper nose than a standard BT40 adds stiffness without moving to a heavier BT50 tooling system.
X and Y rapid at 24 m/min and Z at 18 m/min across travels of 1300 / 700 / 750 mm. On plates with many pockets, fast positioning between features adds up over a shift.
